The games
The games your group already plays
Pick one when you set up the round. Winsom knows the rules, so nobody has to work out who won a hole.
2 to 4 players
Skins
Win a hole outright to take its skin. Tie, and the skin carries to the next hole.
4 players
Wolf
A rotating wolf picks a partner after the tee shots, or goes it alone for more points.
1 to 4 players
Target Golf
Practice with a plan. Each hole gets a target that suits your game, with points for fairways, greens and putts.
2 to 4 players
Bingo Bango Bongo
Three points a hole: first on the green, closest to the pin, first in the cup
Dots
Add dots to any game
Side prizes for the shots that make a round, marked on the hole as you play or counted from the score.
- Greenie
On the green in regulation on a par 3 and closest to the pin
- Sandie
Up and down from a bunker
- Birdie or better
Counted from the score, never tapped
- Chippie
A chip-in
- Barkie
Par or better after hitting a tree
- Arnie
Par or better without touching the fairway
- Polie
A made putt longer than the flagstick
Keeping score
One scorecard, on everyone's phone
- Anyone in the game can score any player's hole, and everyone sees it straight away.
- Scores read the way golfers talk: Birdie, Par, Bogey.
- A hole looks wrong? Flag it, and the organizer fixes it before the game is finished.
- A finished game locks, so the record stays the way you played it.

Your Winsom Index
See your game get better
Your Winsom Index is a number for how you play against a course's difficulty, so rounds on different courses and tees can be compared. It appears after 3 finished 18-hole rounds and is worked out from the best of your 20 most recent.
Each course gets its own page too: your average, your best day, your best hole and the hole you've improved most.
Your index and history are yours alone. Other players never see them. It's an estimate for your own tracking, not an official handicap, and it doesn't change any game.
Practice
Practice with a plan
Target Golf sets a target on every hole, like bogey on the long par 4s, and shows the plan before you hit. After the round it tells you what cost you the most, whether hazards, three-putts or the wrong club.
Play it on your own, or with up to three friends.

What it costs
Free to sign up. Your first 5 games are free.
After your first ones, each game you join costs a $1 fee. You'll see it before you join, every time. If a game is cancelled, the $1 comes back to you. There's no subscription.
Fees come out of your Winsom wallet, so nobody has to pay at the course. Add $5 or more when your free games run out, and anything you don't use stays yours.
Each player covers their own place, so a foursome is $1 each.
Questions
Good to know
- Is the Winsom Index an official handicap?
- No. It uses the same kind of arithmetic, but it's an estimate for your own tracking and isn't issued by any golf association.
- Do my friends need an account?
- Yes, everyone who plays signs up. It's free, and they get their own free games.
- Can I play on my own?
- Yes. Target Golf works solo, and the round still counts toward your index.
- Do 9-hole rounds count?
- They go on your history and course stats. The index uses 18-hole rounds.
- Is there an app?
- Add Winsom to your home screen from your browser and it opens like an app, with notifications when your group scores.
- What's the wallet for?
- It holds your free games and any money you add, and pays the fee when you join a game. You can move what you added back to your bank whenever you like.
- What if my course isn't listed?
- Type its name and play. The round goes on your history, and rounds at listed courses with tee ratings also count toward your index.
